“One day’s data does not a trend make!”
Four additional cases of a positive test result for Covid-19 have been reported today taking the total number of positive cases in the Island to 313. This will undoubtedly lead many headlines in today’s press however it must be remembered that one day’s data does not a trend make!
Despite the increase in the total of confirmed cases there continues to be positives to be taken from today’s numbers:
- The number of people in the community with an active confirmed result of Covid-19 continues to fall.
- Over the last 24 hours there are more recoveries than those with a new positive diagnosis.
- The number of patients in the hospital has fallen to 21, this is the first reduction in hospital numbers over the last 10 days.
- There were no more fatalities recorded over the last 24 hours.
